Entertainment Venues, Hotels, and Restaurant Accessibility InformationAccess Buffalo™, as well as a number of disability organizations and volunteers, will collect “accessibility-friendly” information of entertainment venues, hotels, and restaurants in Western New York to better serve customers who have disabilities. Wow AccessHighly access friendly. In the opinion of volunteer reviewers; this business is easily navigable by people who use wheelchairs. The entryway, interior features and restrooms were determined by our volunteers to be accessibility-friendly and this restaurant has additional accessibility-friendly features. Good AccessAccess friendly. In the opinion of volunteer reviewers, people using wheelchairs can enter and move around although some barriers may exist. The entryway, interior features and restrooms were determined by our volunteers to be accessibility-friendly. Limited AccessBarriers to accessibility. In the opinion of volunteer reviewers, barriers to accessibility make it difficult for people using wheelchairs to enter and/or move around in the facility. In the entertainment venues, hotels, and restaurant information, we have included codes to indicate those volunteer-identified barriers. Codes: E - entryway (pathway and entrance to the restaurant); I- interior pathways (navigation of dining room and interior walkways); R - restrooms (entrance to restroom, stalls and restroom features) Accessibility Survey InformationThe survey information is solely an attempt to provide some information about the accessibility-friendliness of entertainment venues, hotels, and restaurants to people with disabilities, their friends, family members and interested others. The accessibility-friendly surveys were performed by volunteers and Access Buffalo™ does not guarantee their accuracy. Even though a survey may be an accurate reflection of the accessibility of an entertainment venue, hotel, and/or restaurant on the day of the volunteer’s visit, conditions that may affect accessibility can change over time. Accordingly, if you have specific accessibility needs, you should call the business or attraction to confirm whether it is able to meet your needs prior to planning a visit. The survey instrument is specifically designed for Access Buffalo™ and is NOT an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Audit. Accordingly, Access Buffalo’s™ listing of a good or wow rating for a restaurant does NOT mean that the entertainment venue, hotel, and/or restaurant is in compliance with the ADA’s accessibility requirements. Similarly, Access Buffalo’s™ listing of a limited rating an entertainment venue, hotel, and/or restaurant does NOT mean that the restaurant is violating the ADA’s accessibility requirements. Whether an entertainment venue, hotel, and/or restaurant is in compliance with the ADA’s accessibility requirements is a complex legal question beyond the scope of the Access Buffalo™ project. The overall survey rating reflects the impression of volunteers of an entertainment venue, hotel, and/or restaurant accessibility-friendly features for people who use wheelchairs. In addition, the surveys themselves contain information regarding accessibility features of interest to people with other types of disabilities. |
